SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAMS

From child care to youth sports to a more rustic experience, we have a camp for you!

Preschool Child Care
Preschool children ages 3 year and 11 months through 4 years of age will have a blast at the Southside Virginia Family YMCA summer childcare program! This program is packed with fun and learning for your active preschooler. Our Lead Counselor utilizes weekly themes in coordination with our center’s curriculum to create a fun, safe learning environment. Weekly, children enjoy arts & crafts; music/movement, reading, counting, dramatic play, devotions, nature activities, character development, gross motor activities indoor and outdoor and swimming lessons. Lunch provided 8 weeks during this program. This format promotes diversity in learning and contributes to a well rounded summer experience.

School’s Out
School-age children in grades kindergarten to fifth meet new friends as they participate in our School’s Out program with safe, well-supervised activities that build new skills such as swimming lessons, reading, math, music, drama, theme sessions, devotions, creative art, art & craft, science and nature activities, character development, gross motor activities indoor and outdoors. Weekly field trips: fees not included in session fee. Lunch provided 8 weeks during this program. This format promotes diversity in learning and contributes to a well rounded summer experience.
